Run the cabin from the Pump House electric

Why: There's not enough sun available to keep the batteries charged. It is cheaper and easier to run the generator at the pump house and run the cabin from that system than it is to run the big generator at the cabin.

Goals

  1. Switch the cabin to draw power from the pump house
  2. Run the small generator at the pumphouse to top up the pump house batteries

CHECKLIST

  • ☐ In the cabin crawlspace, find the breaker panel next to the rack of AES batteries, set the breakers so that:

    1. HOUSE: ON
    2. WELL: ON
    3. INVERTER: OFF

The cabin should now be running on the Pump House electrical. If it is not working and there's no power at the cabin, go to the pump house and verify the breakers in the panel in the back corner are set so that:

  • ☐ The breakers in the panel in the back corner have:

    1. MAIN: ON
    2. HOUSE: ON

  • ☐ The MagnaSine inverter is configured for Normal Operation:

    1. The black slider: UP / INVERT
    2. PV MPPT OUTPUT ONE: ON
    3. PV ARRAY INPUT ONE: ON
    4. BATTERY STATUS MONITOR: OFF
    5. Main swtich: ON
